The incredible history of the Grand Canyon region is coming to life once again thanks to a new video.

The Kaibab National Forest has released a short video, showcasing the story of Snake Gulch- a remote canyon home to an incredible array of prehistoric art.

Detailed paintings and etchings make Snake Gulch stand out. Located north of the Grand Canyon in the Kanab Creek Wilderness, the canyon has amazed researchers, volunteers and visitors.

Deep in the Kaibab National Forest on the North Kaibab Ranger District, Snake Gulch is rich in history. For the past three decades,  Forest Service archaeologists, with the help of volunteers, academic researchers and local tribes, have been photographing, documenting, interpreting and working to preserve the thousands of historic sites over a winding 10-mile stretch within this awe-inspiring canyon.
