Tucson, known for its many witty shops, hipster vibes, and amazing food also has some hidden gems that few are aware of. In this case, we’re talking about the Tucson Hop Shop, a craft-beer bottle shop located on the corner of Dodge Road in the Metal Arts Village. Not only is this place an amazing escape from the hustle and bustle that is life, but also a great spot to hang out with friends or catch up on a good read. The Tucson Hop Shop literally has it all! With over 18 beers on tap, hand-selected by the owners, and many other beers to choose from by the bottle, there is something for everyone whether you are gluten free or not even a fan of beer at all.
I came to the Tucson Hop Shop with a few girlfriends on Sunday night to catch up before another busy week of work and school. Walking into the Metal Arts Village, I was very amazed – I was overcome with the community gathering base when entering the parking lot. The shop has many other stores surrounding it, along with an outside stage for live music and other activities. When entering the shop, there are many seating areas to choose from, whether you are trying to escape the noise and relax upstairs or play corn hole with your friends outside, it has a space that fits every persons wants and needs.
The beers on another hand are delicious and vary from state and region with a few local Tucson beers on tap. I found myself sipping on a Bavarian Hefeweizen, made locally here in Tucson, and enjoying the scenery of the beautiful beer garden. You truly can’t go wrong with exploring this spot, even on a Sunday night. With the people, atmosphere, location, and, of course the beers; it is a win-win for everyone!
