Yavapai Soccer Club enjoyed a successful showing at a yearly tournament earlier this month.

Three of the club’s teams earned first place finishes at the Yavapai Cup Tournament on April 7 and 8 in Prescott.

The 2002 boys and their coach, Robert Gittins, took home top place in the gold bracket, giving them an exciting momentum to take into the Arizona President’s Cup this weekend in Phoenix.

Gittins also coached the 2004 boys squad as they captured first place in the silver bracket. The 2005 boys team also finished first, with the help of coach Juan Carlos Montoya. Their current record is 14-5-4.
