The passing of legendary icon Jimmy Buffett was felt across the globe. Loved and adored for his laid-back attitude and music that evoked feelings of tropical paradise and margaritas, local Phoenix spot, The Duce is partnering with not-for-profit The Arizona Parrothead Club to plan a celebration of life and party in honor of the life of Jimmy Buffett. The event is slated for Saturday, Oct. 7, from 4 p.m. until the last man (or woman) is standing at The Duce, located at 525 S. Central Ave. in Phoenix. People are invited to paradise as they listen to a Jimmy Buffett tribute band, live DJ playing Jimmy Buffett hits, and enjoy margarita specials. A percentage of proceeds from the event will go to MD Cancer Center, per Jimmy’s will.
The Arizona Parrothead Club is a not-for-profit social organization people brought together by their shared love of Jimmy Buffett, Trop Rock music and a tropical spirit. The organization supports at least five charities each year through their events and volunteer hours. They serve the greater Phoenix area and have members throughout the state. Their message is “Party with a purpose”.
The Duce is a retro chic live entertainment venue and an Americana inspired cocktail lounge, restaurant and a unique venue for special events.
