Tempe Prep Students Named National Merit Scholars

Congratulations to Tempe Prep Seniors recognized as a National Merit Semifinalist and Commended Scholars by scoring in the top 1% of students on the 11th Grade PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test given in October 2022:

  • National Merit Semifinalist: Tevin Nguyen
  • National Merit Commended Scholars: Jonah Gagliardi, Taylor Conley,
    and Jay Nergard

Congratulations also to Tempe Prep Juniors and Seniors recognized as a National Hispanic Scholars and eligible for many top scholarships through the College Board National Recognition Program Scholars by scoring in the top 2.5% of students on the 10th and 11th Grade PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test:

  • National Indigenous Scholar: Junior Kailana Williams
  • National African American Scholar: Junior Mariah Gunnison
  • National Hispanic Scholars: Junior Julia Gannon and Seniors Will Chafey, Isabella Duran, Audrey Johnson, and Noah Quiros

These nationally recognized scholars qualify for full-tuition-plus scholarships at Arizona universities and other colleges across the country!

Over half of Tempe Prep’s graduates pursue majors and careers in engineering and STEM fields. Tempe Prep’s Class of 2021 students received over $16.5 million in scholarship offers and TPA graduates attend undergraduate and graduate school programs all over the country, including to name a few, Stanford, Harvard, Princeton, University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School of Business, Dartmouth, UCLA, Boston University, Northwestern University, and all of the Arizona universities’ Honors Colleges.

Tempe Prep is currently accepting applications for the Fall 2024. The application window runs through Dec. 15, 2023 for inclusion in the Lottery for Fall 2024 Enrollment. The Lottery will take place at the January Board of Directors meeting.
