Tempe Preparatory Academy has so much to celebrate this year! The 2021-22 school year marks Tempe Prep’s 25th year of educating students from all over the valley and graduating thoughtful, intelligent men and women with exceptional academic credentials, who have acquired the habits of mind to become lifelong learners. It also heralds the completion of a $7.2 million dollar campus renovation. This renovation included, among many other items, the construction of a 20,000 square foot Fine Arts and Sciences Center, along with an expanded faculty building, student center, study hall, and a new athletic performance center.
We have chosen to celebrate these achievements by organizing a Founders Week. This week is a time to reflect on the mission, purpose, and ideals upon which Tempe Prep was founded and to highlight and celebrate the school’s many accomplishments. It is also a time to commemorate those who founded the school and those who have bequeathed resources to its development.
We are indebted to the men and women whose vision led to the creation of the school back in 1996, and who have contributed to the leadership and vision of the school since. None of the education for which the school has become known would have happened without the foresight of the original founders who set out with the express intent of developing a school to provide an exceptional liberal arts education rooted in the values of Truth, Beauty and Goodness.
We also owe a tremendous debt to the students, faculty and families that took a leap of faith to join Tempe Prep in creating a spirited community of learners. Their work and commitment to the ethos and values of this exceptional school made possible the academy we enjoy today.
A variety of events have been planned for this important week, culminating with a community Campus Celebration on Friday, April 29 from 8:00 am – 8:30 am. Interested participants should RSVP at tempeprep.org/alumnirsvp so that we can appropriately plan for your attendance.
