Tempe Business Owner Creates True Blue Tempe to Support His City’s Police Department

Mike Bradley, a Tempe business owner, recently created the advocacy group True Blue Tempe with the mission of calling on fellow Valley business owners to stand together and show their support for the local police department.

Bradley witnessed national support for police officers waver this year and decided to use his voice to do something about it. He created True Blue Tempe with the goal of creating a platform where other business owners can come together to stand and show their support for local law enforcement. Currently, 13 businesses have pledged their support and Bradley aims to have 100 businesses sign up by the end of 2020.

“I am a father, business owner and son of a police officer so I understand the importance of having a respected and supported police department in order to maintain law and order,” Bradley said. “During these turbulent times, it’s more important than ever before for business leaders to stand up for what they believe in and be vocal about their support for local law enforcement.”

On top of pledging their support, business leaders can also gain access to valuable resources on True Blue Tempe’s website including guides on small business crime prevention, tips on how community members can engage with police officers, and small appreciation gift ideas.

From its inception, True Blue Tempe has partnered and connected with Tempe Police on this initiative to help ensure its goals are being met and that the group is providing a helping hand to local law enforcement officers.

“When Mike first reached out with this initiative, we were blown away by his passion and thoughtfulness, especially during a time of wavering support this year,” Assistant Police Chief of Tempe Michael Pooley said. “As our officers see this growing support from our community it encourages them to continue to do the great work they have always done.”
