Verify your Google My Business (GMB) listing

Access the posts option from the GMB dashboard in the menu on the left-hand side. The key is to check your GMB profile often and keep your posts current and relevant. Google will send you a notice when it is time to create a new post.

Monitor Q&A

Check your Google My Business listing often to see if anyone posted a question you need to answer. You need to check your GMB dashboard from a computer as the Q&A feature is not visible on the mobile app. One thing to keep in mind is that anyone can answer a question about your business. Diligently monitor the Q&A feature to make sure you are answering questions and if someone else does answer, that their answer is correct. 

Encourage online reviews

Google loves reviews and encourages companies to ask their customers and clients for reviews in an ethical way. Reviews help your business stand out from others in a search result. Online reviews are imperative to cultivate because 97% of searchers read online reviews for local businesses in 2017, with 12% looking online each day for local businesses. Check Google’s guidelines for soliciting GMB reviews to make sure you follow their policies.
