
Phoenix Police officers were called to a valley school to question a student in connection with a Wednesday night theft, and soon discovered a stolen gun in his backpack.
The incident unfolded Thursday morning at South Pointe High School, near Central and South Mountain avenues, when police arrived around 10 a.m. looking for a student they wanted to question about a home theft the previous evening.
When officers confronted him, they found he had a gun in his backpack that they believe was stolen from a home on Wednesday night.
