Shooting Near Airport Inn Leaves Four Injured

Phoenix Police are investigating following a shooting incident near Sky Harbor Airport that left four people injured on Sunday evening.

Police say three women and one man were wounded, with two victims in critical condition with the other two suffering from non-life threatening injuries. The gunfire broke out just before 8 p.m. at the Airport Inn near 24th and Van Buren streets.

The investigation remains ongoing but police believe the shooting resulted from a verbal altercation.

The incident affected local traffic for several hours as police investigated.
