Serial Robber Arrested in Tucson

Marana Police arrested a man suspected in eight robberies in the past month.

Three law enforcement jurisdictions have been involved in the investigation of these armed robberies, including the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, Marana Police Department, and Tucson Police Department.

In each incident, a heavyset man donned a camouflage mask, brandished a black handgun and demanded money.

In the latest incident, the Subway located at 5095 North La Canada Drive reported a robbery at 8:30 a.m. Soon after, Marana Police Department officers located the suspect’s vehicle at the InTown Suites located at 4314 West Ina Road. According to the official press release, they made contact with 32-year-old Christopher Hunt-Taylor, who matched the description provided in all eight robberies. They obtained a search warrant and discovered items of evidence linking him to the crimes.

Hunt-Taylor was arrested and booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex for four counts of armed robbery and one count of attempted armed robbery. Additional charges are pending for robberies committed in Marana Police and Tucson Police  jurisdiction.
