Scottsdale police aren’t giving up on their investigation in a fatal drunk-driving crash.
They are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a woman who’s been on the run from the law for 24 years. Gloria Schulze is now 55 years old. According to police, she was 31 years old back on July 29, 1994, when she was involved in a fatal drunk-driving collision. She was driving under the influence near Scottsdale Road and Shea Boulevard when she veered out of her lane into oncoming traffic. She collided head-on with another car, driven by 21-year-old college student Angela Maher.
Maher lost her life, but Schulze fled prior to her trial and was found guilty in absentia. A federal arrest warrant exists for Schulze, who remains an unsentenced fugitive to this day. Schulze is described as a white female, 5’5 tall, with green eyes. Scottsdale Police have provided an age-enhanced photo in hopes that someone might recognize her today and help bring justice to the Maher family.
