If you enjoy delightful cottages with tasteful and comfortable furniture, watching stunning sunsets descend over small mountain villages from your front patio with a glass of wine or pint of local brew in hand, friendly neighbors waving hello as they walk past, access to hiking, dining, nightlife and unique shops in an idealistic setting oozing with charm, look no further than St. Joseph’s in Bisbee. I stayed in the St. Patrick’s suite, which is a one bedroom with a kitchenette and felt immediately at home there. It’s the little things that make a huge difference – the speakers and auxiliary cables to plug in my iPod and listen to music, the coffee maker and french roast, the soft lush pillows and mattress, everything I needed to cook a meal, and the generosity and hospitality of the hosts, Joseph and Melissa. I had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with them, as they showed me the best spots in town to dig through vinyl records, have the tastiest bloody mary, and enjoy live music on the weekend. I was also able to see the other apartments that they have available to rent through Airbnb, and rest assured they are all well cared for and clean, each with their own unique theme and design. I stayed in St. Patricks for a full week and cannot recommend it enough – it’s a three minute walk to the town centre and just far enough away from the nightlife for a peaceful, quiet rest. I will stay again without hesitation – by far one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had!
