Public art open house for I-10 Broadway Curve pedestrian bridges

Public art open house for I-10 Broadway Curve pedestrian bridges

Reflections of light, illuminating what matters to Tempeans. That’s the theme of the public art design for two pedestrian bridges that will be built as part of the Arizona Department of Transportation’s (ADOT) I-10 Broadway Curve project. Prickly pear fruit-inspired sculptural elements will be integrated into the two bridges, one located at Alameda Drive and the other at the Western Canal. Sunlight will shine through the images attached to the bottom of each sculpture, bringing unique shapes to life on the bridge’s floor.

The community is invited to an open house to see the design, meet the artists, and provide thoughts on what the imagery should include.
