Pita Jungle Now Hiring for New Chandler Heights Location

Pita Jungle, a local staple for modern Mediterranean cuisine, is now hiring for more than 50 positions at its second Chandler location. The new 3,200 square foot restaurant is in the Steelyard development off Chandler Heights and Gilbert Roads and is set to open in January 2021.

“The Steelyard development was like falling in love at Hello! Here is an opportunity to open a brand-new Pita Jungle in a ‘micro development’, within a business complex scaled to cozy local neighborhood needs. This aligns perfectly with our concept and culture to establish strong community ties, from a space that is anchored in a smaller strip mall that lends itself to every days uses and consumption, reminiscent of our very first stores that we’ve opened decades ago in the East Valley. We are super excited and can’t wait to consummate our newer connection with this vibrant neighborhood,” says Bassel Osmani, co-founder of Pita Jungle.

Pita Jungle is hiring for every position, from chefs to servers and everything in between. To apply in person, someone will on site every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. People can also apply online at pitajungle.com.

The new restaurant will feature a large main dining area with an inviting full bar and an outdoor patio. It will be open for lunch, happy hour and dinner seven days a week, serving the same delicious and healthy Mediterranean dishes that Pita Jungle has been known for 26 years.

Pita Jungle is one of many tenants planned at the retail center named after the former steel yard. The development will be located at the southeast corner of Gilbert and Chandler Heights roads and will include three multi-tenant buildings on a 4.6-acre site. It will incorporate aspects of the steel yard into its design, including corrugated steel and an existing water tower.

The new Pita Jungle will be inspired from the steelyard theme around an iconic water tower. The design draws from notions of water flow and colors accentuated by industrial lines and modulated by cozy ambient and minimalist ‘artsy-ness’ that stems from eco-rich materials and colors, according to Osmani.

Each Pita Jungle restaurant has a unique mood and personality; it is designed to have a character that is reflective of the times and the locality. From the unique décor and original artwork by local artists, to the custom, handpicked music playlist and creative non-formulaic staff, there are no cookie-cutter locations at Pita Jungle.

With this addition, there will be 21 Pita Jungle’s in the Phoenix Metro area, two in Tucson, and one in Flagstaff.
