In Tempe there is an upcoming election. In this election, no candidate is more qualified than Genevieve Vega. There are three Tempe City Council seats open. Every registered voter in Tempe will be able to vote for three candidates in this election. It is to each voter’s benefit to use all three votes in this vital election. Ballots were mailed out on February 14th, and in order to be counted they must be received by March 13th.
Genevieve is a woman that I have known for years. As a married mother of two school age children, including a brilliant special needs daughter, Genevieve not only knows the importance of a strong community for children, it was also a goal she was forced to work for in regards to her daughter’s needs.
For over a decade, Genevieve has championed community values by serving in various leadership positions in her community and volunteering for causes related to school funding, voting rights, and human services. Genevieve is in her second Board term on the Tempe Community Council where she has co-chaired the Don Carlos Humanitarian Awards Dinner which raised tens of thousands of dollars for Tempe citizens in need. Genevieve is also on the Phoenix Suns Charities 88 Board of Directors. This exemplary community service alone well qualifies Genevieve for the City Council.
In additional to her community involvement, Genevieve holds an Executive MBA and is currently running a business consultancy. She has 20 years of local and global business experience in this area. Genevieve has proven that she has a mind for business. Her business and education credentials well qualify her for public service.
It is not just one qualification which qualifies Genevieve for the City Council. Rather it is the unique combination of family, business and community service which together comprise all the factors which clearly demonstrate why Genevieve is such an outstanding city council candidate who deserves our support.
Genevieve has a diversified list of prominent endorsements which include, but are not limited to, the Tempe Chamber of Commerce, Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchell, Tempe Union Board Members Berdetta Hodge and DeeAnne McClenahan, Unions and many more groups. This explain why her supporters are putting in countless hours supporting her campaign.
This tremendous community support enables Genevieve to direct an energetic, positive and issues oriented campaign which connecting with the voters. This campaign speaks highly of our Tempe community as a whole. As Genevieve’s campaign continues to grow, more and more voters are getting excited about her campaign message.
Genevieve underlying campaign message is that she believes that Tempe is a great place to live, and she wants to make it better. She want to work to make sure our city infrastructure remain solid. She want to work to make sure that public safety is improved and that neighborhoods are enhanced. She wants to achieve these goals by making sure that business, labor, women, minorities and neighborhoods are all part of this process. This is why I am voting for Genevieve Vega for Tempe City Council, and I urge others to do the same.
