North Central Phoenix Business Offers Alternative For Families During Fall Virtual Learning

Impact Gymnastics Academy, a premier gymnastics and fitness center on the corner of 12th Street and Northern Avenue in Phoenix is offering Study Camps to assist parents with student needs during the school year. Impact staff will provide a safe and structured environment where students can accomplish their online education while incorporating safe and healthy physical activities.

Parents who need to go to work or are looking for a more social school experience to supplement screen time will be able to drop their school-age child (ages kindergarten and up) to Impact Gymnastics Academy for full-day or half-day sessions and choose between 5, 3, or 2-day sessions a week. Along with structured learning and advisement from staff, the students will get many breaks to enjoy physical fitness, especially gymnastics. Gymnastics is a foundation for many children in sports, as it teaches eye-hand coordination, balance, flexibility and coordination.

“We understand how challenging it can be to balance school and work, we are working moms too,” said Maria Lawrence, co-owner of Impact Gymnastics Academy. “This is a great alternative for parents who need it, plus, we are able to provide their kids with a better quality of online learning than they saw in spring along with providing lots of physical fitness. They are getting lots of recess breaks, so to speak!”

Many procedures will be in place to keep staff and children safe. Impact Gymnastics Academy has been following all CDC safety protocol, including temperature checks at drop off, masks required when not engaged in physical activities and no sharing of supplies, earphones, computers or school material.
