Congratulations to Mesa resident Danielle Marshall!

She has become the first American woman to sign a professional contract with the Australian Football League. Marshall and her husband will be relocating to Melbourne, Australia as she pursues her AFL career with the Western Bulldog’s Women’s Football team.

Marshall moved to Mesa a few years ago and she’s always been a dedicated athlete. She’s impressed international scouts with her athletic prowess, so much so that she will be representing America as she suits up for her new Australian team.

Well done to Danielle on such an amazing achievement, and best of luck to her in her new endeavors!
