Mesa Arts Center Hosts Between The Lines Celebration

An annual celebration of the upcoming season, this free, family-friendly festival will share the theme of literature in art with five new exhibitions in the Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum, and will present live music, great foods, outdoor festival, author appearances, great atmosphere and more!

Celebrate the start of the 2016-2017 season and make your way to Mesa Arts Center Friday, Sept. 9 for a one-stop shop of fun and entertainment. Visit the Art Studios to see live demos, stop by Alice Coopers Solid Rock Stage for live music, drift over to the Project LIT stage to learn about the newest initiative at MAC, drop into TheStore, MAC’s artist cooperative gallery and be sure to get your picture taken with the performers from Vessel Project.

On the Shadow Walk you’ll see atmospheric performers, pop up dance performances, and more than a few surprises. Mark your calendar for this one of a kind event, free and fun for the entire family!

I am a multimedia journalist and proud graduate from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication. I am originally from Minnesota, and I love learning about my second home, Arizona, and all of it's awesome communities through my contributions to My Local News! When I was a little girl, I created my own "newspaper" for my neighborhood and spent all my time writing, printing and sending each edition to my loyal subscribers (AKA my family and neighbors!). Now, it's a dream come true to be able to write everyday and have a positive impact on communities through my reporting. In my free time, I love to travel, hike, cook and spend time with my family and friends.
