September is Hunger Action Month nationwide, and Makutu’s Island is participating in the important cause. Join us for our canned food drive in association with St Mary’s Food Bank. From open to close on Friday September 2, 2016 you can use canned foods to pay for your admission. You can bring in 5 canned food items per member of your group for free admission!
As St. Mary’s heads toward the holiday season, the most needed items are canned fruits, vegetables, and proteins such as tuna, beans and ready-to-eat meals. Boxes of cereal are also very much needed! It is important to note that St. Mary’s will be unable to accept bottled water or packaged noodles at this time, but guests are strongly encouraged to bring other canned goods!
Makutu’s Island, the popular indoor play place and adventure space for children, will be open 9 AM to 9 PM on Friday, September 2nd, so the food drive fun will be going on all day!
