See live food theatre in action as culinary artists hold special chocolate-dipping events featuring fresh, long-stemmed-strawberries on Monday, Feb. 13 and Tuesday, Feb. 14, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Live chocolate-fountain strawberry-dipping demonstrations will take place throughout each four-hour event, and the freshly dipped berries will be available for purchase in four-packs to share with loved ones.
Also between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13 and Tuesday, Feb. 14, Bashas’ bakeries will have a table set up for kids to decorate their own single-layer Valentine’s Day cake for only $7.99. Food City Supermarkets
More food fun will be on display at Food City supermarkets, where select locations will also host chocolate-fountain-dipping events, featuring your choice of sweet, juicy strawberries or cheesecake paletas (cheesecake on a stick, dipped in chocolate), from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13 and Tuesday, Feb. 14. The freshly dipped berries will also be available for purchase.
Additional loving expressions include heart-shaped conchas (sweat breads), which are available by special order; orders must be placed at least 24 hours in advance. It’s also simple to share your love with a crowd with Food City’s fiesta platters, classic cookie trays (36 count), or churro platter with cajeta (thickened caramel) or chocolate dipping sauce.
