Madison Education Foundation Gala Raises $100,000 for Local Children

The Madison Education Foundation raised more than $100,000 at their first-ever Imagination Gala this month, at the newly constructed Madison Center for the Arts. Attendees enjoyed a reimagined performance, of Alice in Wonderland, by Convergence Ballet while raising funds for local elementary and middle school children of the Madison Elementary School District.

“We are humbled by the support from our local community during our inaugural gala,” said Madison Education Foundation Executive Director Amy Marschel. “This was an unforgettable evening as together – with generous sponsors and guests – we exceeded our goal of raising $100,000 for enhanced arts education across the district.”

In addition to the ballet performance, Gala attendees enjoyed a meet and greet with artist Kat Tatz, silent auction, raffles (featuring student artwork) and dancing – plus hors d’oeuvres, drinks and desserts from Santa Barbara Catering, SanTan Brewery, Break Thru Beverage, Fairytale Brownies and Phoenix City Grille.

All proceeds from the event supported the Madison Education Foundation and its mission to enrich music and arts education for the 6,000 children throughout the district. The Foundation fully funds field trips to the Musical Instrument Museum for all district students as well as supports the district-wide Art Masterpiece program. In addition, the Foundation awards teacher grants each year and supports student performances and programs at the new Madison Center for the Arts.
