They say lightning doesn’t strike twice, but one Tucson store is proving this saying wrong.
For the second time in less than a week, the QuikTrip at 2345 E. Irvington Road has sold a lottery ticket worth more than $1 million.
According to the Arizona Lottery, the $1 million Powerball winning ticket matched five numbers but did not match the Powerball, meaning the winner is a cool $1 million dollars richer.
A few days earlier, on Wednesday Jan. 10, a Tucson resident won $1.6 million after purchasing a lottery ticket for The Pick game from the same QuikTrip.store on Irvington. According to a news release, the Wednesday winner wishes to remain anonymous, but they have shared their dream of winning came true when they checked the ticket. This individual does not plan to quit working because they have “the best” boss and plan to help them out.
