KVRD 105.7FM, Cottonwood, Arizona’s premier country music radio station, and the community at large raised more than $18,825 for the health, hope and healing at Phoenix Children’s Hospital during its 2nd annual Radiothon on Thursday, March 4 and Friday, March 5.

The Radiothon featured music, vignettes and Phoenix Children’s patient interviews. Proceeds benefit the Hope Fund, which helps the hospital launch critical new programs, purchase essential equipment, conduct cutting-edge research and much more. It also provides critical care to patients in all areas of the state, including those in our community.

“This was a total team effort! From the KVRD sales team that brought in more sponsors than ever before, to the announcing team of Brad Miller and Jill Westerholm that delivered two great days of inspiring programming on KVRD, to the great team of  sponsors that helped with their support, to the great team at Phoenix Children’s Hospital that provided all the guidance and the background help, and finally, to our great listeners that kept the donation phones ringing through the entire event,” stated Mike Puetz, General Manager of Yavapai Broadcasting. “We couldn’t do this without the unbelievable efforts of everyone involved.  I am proud of each and every one of them, and I look forward to many more years of partnering with Phoenix Children’s Hospital and the KVRD Radiothon.”

“It’s because of partnerships like the one we have with KVRD that we are able to help children in our Arizona communities who need it most,” said Steve Schnall, senior vice president and chief development officer of Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation. “The funds we raised will be funneled directly to our patients so we can continue to provide the absolute best care for them across the state.”

The Phoenix Children’s Hospital KVRD Radiothon would not be possible without its generous sponsors, including; Ace Hardware-Prescott Valley, Alvarez Tire and Automotive, Arby’s in Prescott and Prescott Valley, Arizona Smile Designers, Bedrock Landscaping, Better Homes & Garden Real Estate, Bing’s Burger Station, Black Hills Carstar, Canyon Distributing, Command Roofing, Country Financial, Desert Financial Credit Union, Goettl’s High Desert Mechanical, Gordon and Gordon Law Firm, Hyundai of Cottonwood, Inspire Communities / On The Greens, Kirby Automotive, Kooiman Realty, Lamb Chevrolet, Little Dealer Little Prices RV, Montezuma’s Tavern, Moyers Heating and Cooling, NAZAIR, Noble Heritage Builders, The Picture Window, Red Rock Collision, Red Rock Fence, Rice Accounting, Star Island Motorsports, Vicente Landscaping, Walmart, Western Truss, Yavapai Bottle Gas.
