Tempe’s Kiwanis Batting Range is turning 30! To celebrate, the community is invited to try the range for free on Saturday, March 7 from Noon-3 p.m. Enjoy free batting, raffles, a DJ, inflatables, a food truck and more. Closed-toe shoes must be worn in the batting cages.
Kiwanis Batting Range is located at 6005 S. All-America Way, next to Kiwanis Recreation Center. Visit the batting range website for more information.
Kiwanis Batting Range has been serving baseball and softball enthusiasts in Tempe and across the Valley for 30 years. New and experienced players, leagues, teams and even minor league players have used the range to practice their swings. One of few city-owned ranges, the newly remodeled facility features 10 lighted cages with baseball, slow-pitch and fast-pitch softball machines that can reach up to 75 mph. Cages are equipped with Select-A-Pitch machines and a T-ball area for younger sluggers. Day and evening hours are available for public and private use.
