Keep It Cut Celebrates its 5th Anniversary with Free Haircuts for Life

Local hair salon Keep It Cut has redefined the way men look with its unlimited cuts for a flat monthly fee. Jacob Meltzer and Josh Thorsvik started Keep It Cut five years ago after being fed up with unkempt hairlines, unruly beards and high prices. With six locations Valley wide, three of which opened earlier this year, the subscription-based business model fits a growing need in the community.

“Five years is a major milestone for us and we really want to thank our customers in a big way,” says Meltzer.

In honor of the fifth anniversary in September, one lucky winner will receive a lifetime membership. The Whole Hog is $44/month and includes unlimited haircuts, washes and grooming. At each location around the Valley there will be a ballot box where guests can enter the raffle from September 1-14. The lucky winner will be announced on September 17 on Keep It Cut’s Facebook page.

Keep It Cut’s subscription haircut model was one of the first of its kind when they opened in 2013. There are four monthly membership levels guests can choose from:

  • Regular – Unlimited Haircuts $29/month
  • Kit and Caboodle Regular – Unlimited Haircuts and Wash $35/month
  • Lock, Stock, and Barrel Regular – Unlimited Haircuts and Grooming $38/month
  • Whole Hog Regular – Unlimited Haircuts, Wash, Grooming $44/month

The salon boasts a relaxed atmosphere where people are encouraged to come in, sign up, and unwind. The shops focus on a refurbished urban feel with a simplified set of offerings: haircuts, hair washes and beard/mustache grooming. Knowledgeable and personable stylists stand by to provide top notch haircut experiences for clients, acting as guides on current trends, styling tips or complete hair makeovers.

“We are excited to celebrate our fifth anniversary and continue to grow and be a part of the community,” says Thorsvik.
