Maricopa County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating following a scary incident at a Queen Creek home.
A trio of armed suspects caused a terrifying ordeal for homeowners near Chandler Heights and Hawes roads in Queen Creek. On Friday, Jan. 12 around 4:30 a.m., home invaders entered a home, tied the residents up and ransacked the house. The victims were at home with their patio door open, and MCSO says the three suspects simply walked in wearing masks and armed with pistols.
MCSO says the suspects, one female and two males, stole two of the victims’ vehicles and fled the scene. Before leaving, they fired one round from a pistol into the bedroom floor and searched for valuables.
Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident, and the victims were able to untie themselves and run across the street to a neighbor’s house to call 911.
According to MCSO, there have been multiple arrests in this case but the investigation remains ongoing as multiple law enforcement agencies are involved. MCSO described this as an isolated incident and assured the Town of Queen Creek there is no further danger to the community.
