Humane Society Needs Foster Care Volunteers

Furry felines are out in full force at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.

The facility recently took in 60 kittens from a shelter in Yuma due to an overcrowding issue. These kittens will be ready for adoption by the beginning of July.

The addition of the kittens means that the shelter has over 600 animals in its care, and any help is much appreciated during this busy time of kitten season. The Humane Society is especially in need of volunteers willing to foster kittens and other animals before they find their forever home.

For those who wish to adopt, there are plenty of special animals at the humane society waiting for their forever home. Learn more here.

If now isn’t the right time to adopt, people can still make a difference through donations or volunteering. Volunteers can help in a variety of areas, including dog walking, dog and cat enrichment, office support and foster care. Learn more about these opportunities here.
