COMMUNITY OPEN HOUSE, FREE ADMISSION
TEMPE, ARIZONA – SATURDAY, MAY 5, 2018 10 AM – 3 PM
In celebration of National Historic Preservation Month, discover our local history, our unique desert surroundings and learn best practices for conserving water. Four partners have come together for an “open house” at both institutions, Eisendrath Center for Water Conservation and Arizona Heritage Center located side by side at 1300 and 1400 North College Avenue in Tempe, Arizona, 85281, nestled in Papago Park.
Attendees receive free admission to Centennial Museum at the Arizona Heritage Center at Papago Park and a free admission tour of historic Eisendrath House. City of Tempe Water Conservation program will present 4 live demonstrations of how to build and install a rain barrel, attendees will receive a 55-gallon barrel and install kit, but you must register for the workshop by going to www.tempe.gov/conservation, class size is limited, sign-up today. Class held at 10 am, 11 am, noon and 1 pm. SRP partnership will present water conservation displays, water safety information, games and giveaways for the entire family. Area hike also offered on the hour and limited to 20 people.
