High School Students Recovering After Serious Crash
A parents worst nightmare became a reality following a serious car crash late last week.
Several students from Verrado High School were involved in a single-vehicle rollover on Wednesday afternoon. Maricopa County Sheriff’s officials responded to the accident around 4:40 p.m, just across the street from the Verrado campus on Indian School Road.
Upon arrival, deputies found a silver SUV on its side on the shoulder of the road. Buckeye fire crews were assisting the driver and two passengers.
The driver, who has since been identified by family as Dylan Miller, was rushed to a nearby hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries. The two passengers were evaluated and treated on scene, and were cleared to leave with their family members.

Miller suffered severe head trauma, and he remains in the hospital. His family has been post regular updates to his YouCaring page about his long road to recovery, made easier by the massive outpouring of support that has generated over $16,000 in donations. ”  . Dylan’s journey in the ICU continues and once he is stable enough, he will then spend more weeks and months in the hospital until he is well enough to go home, they wrote. On December 9th, his family published this update: We discussed his x-rays with the neurosurgeon and were told some promising and incredible news. We’ve made it “beyond the life or death phase” according to our doctor! 

The school district is working with law enforcement to provide assistance while MCSO says they are investigating the cause of the crash.
