For First Friday on April 7, downtown Phoenix will be buzzing with activity, not only in the arts district and Roosevelt Row, but also in the center of the city at the Herberger Theater.
SRP presents First Friday Live on the Herberger Theater Plaza. The community is invited to join their friends and neighbors for a unique celebration of art and culture, including free outdoor music, interactive activities and happy hour specials! Guests can expect to see and hear from an eclectic, diverse variety of musicians and artists displaying their projection, performance and visual art.
April’s event revolves around the special theme of “We Are…. Dreamers.” The plaza will be transformed into a land of the imagination, with free Milonga tango and open dance in a fantastic setting, accompanied by music by Tobie Milford and visual art by Amanda Atkins. Guests are invited to get their groove on with David Liu and Nancy Solano of Learn to Dance Tango. There will be stilt walking and projection and laser art as well! Attendees can bring donations for Gabriel’s Angels and be entered into a drawing for two tickets to a Herberger Theater show of their choosing.
