FOUNDER’S DINNER

The 4th Annual Hayden’s Ferry Days will kick off with a Founders Dinner featuring a chuck-wagon dinner by EZ Cattle Company, entertainment by Dolan Ellis and stories from historian Marshall Trimble. The dinner is hosted by Tempe Sister Cities and Tempe Historical Society and will be held at the historic Hackett House in Tempe. Tickets are $40. Purchase tickets here.
WALK THROUGH HISTORY TOURS
Saturday, Feb. 23
Mill Avenue –Outside and Inside Tour
8 – 11 a.m.
Learn about some of Mill Avenues most historic buildings, tour their interiors and learn about their history. Start with breakfast at Hackett House and continue on to visit some of the most iconic buildings in downtown Tempe with an experienced guide. Tickets are $25.
We’ll Always Have Adobe-Tempe Adobe Tour
1 – 4 p.m.
Take a bus ride to tour six historic adobe homes and learn about their history and the people who occupied them. The tour includes Hayden House, Gonzales-Martinez House, Farmer-Goodwin House, Elias-Rodriguez House, Eisendrath House, and the Sandra Day O’Connor House. A unique view of the architecture of adobe and their builders will be provided. Tickets are $25. Purchase tickets here.
THE FESTIVAL – FREE EVENT

The Hayden’s Ferry Day Festival will be held in and around Tempe History Museum and will feature Wild West re-enactors, vendors, artists and crafts, projects and activities for all ages. Celebrate with us by enjoying an ice cream social, live music and outstanding local and regional arts, history, and culture at this free, family-friendly event. The line-up of musicians includes: Mariachi de Tempe, Los Chollas Peligrosas, Corona del Sol Steel Drum Band and the duo of Chuck Hall and Hans Olson.
LANDMARK TOURS OF HISTORIC HOUSES – FREE EVENTS

10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Take a self-guided tour some of Tempe’s finest restored homes spanning over 77 years of Tempe history and learn about the individuals who occupied them. The tours include the Elias-Rodriguez House, Hackett House, Petersen House Museum and the Eisendrath House. Tours are free; donations are accepted.
