Hayden’s Ferry Chamber Music Series launches its 2017-18 season with an afternoon of piano duets and cello sonatas at Tempe Center for the Arts sponsored by Northern Trust.
Pianists Jerome Lowenthal and Ursula Oppens play a program with cellist Evan Drachman, grandson of Gregor Piatagorsky on Sunday afternoon, 2:30 p.m. The program is inspired by Mr. Lowenthal’s teacher William Kappel who died on Oct. 29, 1953.
“The 2017-18 series showcases acclaimed musicians as well as talented emerging musicians,” says Catherine Hayden series producer. “The programs will feature a broad range of repertoire and fresh interpretations of classical chamber music.”
