There was a sad scene in Flagstaff over the weekend as a fatal accident claimed one life.

Authorities confirmed an ex-Northern Arizona University student was killed after being hit by a car.

According to Flagstaff Police, 21-year-old Christopher Larson was pronounced dead at a local hospital on Saturday night from injuries he suffered earlier that day.

Investigators have determined Larson was involved in a disagreement at a downtown place of business before leaving to walk back to his house. They say he was walking within a lane on a street when he was struck. Police have not said whether Larson was impaired at the moment, but they did say the driver did not seem impaired.

The investigation into this fatal accident continues. For more information, please visit the official website of the Flagstaff Police Department.
