Moviegoers will soon get to enjoy an even better experience at RoadHouse Cinemas in Tucson.

The locally owned and operated dine-in movie theater has been undergoing a $1.5 million dollar expansion.

The project added three auditoriums, up from six, increasing the number of seats from 380 to nearly 600. Luxury recliners are a welcome addition, which guests may be able to enjoy by the winter holidays, as they are expected to be operating before the end of the year.

The expansion includes the kitchen, which will have an additional cook line and bakery. Guests will also notice a uniquely Tucson mural, adding to their hometown pride.

The expansion was implemented to meet guest demand and provide a greater variety of films for longer periods of time. RoadHouse plans to play more independently produced films on their added screens. Many movie lovers book tickets days in advance to secure seats at RoadHouse.
