University of Arizona’s successful basketball season continues with help from standout center Dusan Ristic.
Ristic won his first-ever Pac-12 Player of the Week award Monday after leading the Wildcats to a huge home sweep of Colorado and Utah. Ristic averaged 19.5 points and 7.5 rebounds last week, while making all three 3-pointers he took against Utah and shooting 84.2 percent from the field.
Ristic has been impressive all season long, even earning a nomination for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year award. As for his Pac-12 Player of the Week win, he’s the third Wildcat to collect the Conference weekly honor so far this year. Teammates Allonzo Trier and Deandre Ayton earned the award Dec. 4 and Jan. 1, respectively.
Ristic and the rest of the Wildcat crew are now in the Northwest, prepping for their weekend faceoff against Washington at 7:30 p.m. PT on Saturday. The game will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network.
