Flames threatened a donation center in Tucson last week.
Firefighters from the Tucson Fire Department were called to the Goodwill donation center located at 420 W. River Road at 5 am. Upon their arrival, they extinguished the fire that started outside the back of the building.
Fire crews determined the blaze was started by discarded smoking materials. No one was inside the building at the time of the fire and there were no injuries to fire crews.
As officials assessed the damage and began repairs, Goodwill installed a mobile unit at the donation center to resume collecting donations.
