Baseball fans in Arizona, get ready for some excitement!! It does not matter what team is your favorite, all fans of the game will enjoy this. It is the first-ever Baseball Day Arizona!!! The Diamondbacks have partnered with Fox Sports Arizona to make this possible. It will take place at Chase Field in downtown Phoenix on Saturday, April 13th, starting at 10 AM. Plan on spending the entire day there, going well into the evening hours.
This day will feature 24 hours of both, baseball and softball programming, on Fox Sports AZ. Although the bulk of the action will be broadcast on the network, there will be plenty of live action at Chase Field itself. A detailed schedule should be available on the Internet and D’backs websites.
At 10 AM, live at Chase Field, will be a couple of high school baseball teams from our own beloved Arizona. The game will be seven innings long and TV analysis will be done by Steve Berthiaume and fan favorite D’back alumni, Luis Gonzales. It will be followed up by live video of a game from our own, Grand Canyon University, in which the Lopes softball team will host the U of A team.
Stick around afterwards and at 5 PM the same day, YOUR Arizona Diamondbacks will take on the San Diego Padres. There will be additional events at all times during the day where fans of all baseball teams can take part and have an excellent day. Other notable guests at Chase Field throughout this incredible day will be Mark Grace and Brandon Webb, along with sports’ network gurus, Todd Walsh and Jody Jackson. That is just for starters, the rest will be a surprise. If you go to their live studio-for-the-day, Game Seven Grill, on the Chase Field Plaza by 9:30 AM, you will be privy to all of the pre-festivities action. Do not miss this event! If you are a fan of baseball in general, you and your guests will truly enjoy yourselves!!
