Cancer-Stricken Families Feel the Love at Camp Kesem
A local camp is making a big difference for children with sick parents.
Northern Arizona University college students are hard at work, planning for their fourth season of Camp Kesem. This nationwide community effort supports children throughout and beyond their parent’s cancer battle. It’s a lifesaver for families impacted by illness and struggling with bills, treatment and maintaining a normal routine for kids.
Students are busy organizing their plans for summer 2018, when they will host 50 campers for a fun-filled week of activities.

Student volunteers and counselors dedicate lots of time to this effort, as they undergo extensive training and leadership development before the campers arrive.

Camp Kesem is provided free of charge to all participating families, so private donations and community support are crucial to this endeavor.
