Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley Celebrate 42nd Annual Giving Great Futures Weekend

Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley (BGCEV) celebrated the 42nd Annual Giving Great Futures Gala at The Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass on October 19th, 2019. They also hosted their 22nd Annual Golf for Kids event sponsored by State 48 on October 18th, 2019 for a weekend of festivities. Almost 800 people attended, raising over $440,000 for children and teens in the East Valley. Special guests included Arizona State’s National Championship Wrestler, Anthony Robles, Piff The Magic Dragon, Arizona State’s all female acapella group, The Pitchforks, 12News’ Vanessa Ramirez, and emcee’s Burns and Gambo from Arizona Sports Talk Radio.

“BGCEV has an amazing impact on the children and teens in the East Valley and being a former Club kid myself in this local community, I can attest to it first hand,” said Anthony Robles. “Boys & Girls Clubs provide world-class programming that assures every child the opportunity to be successful in school and in life and I am happy to continue to support their efforts.”

The Giving Great Futures Gala is the biggest fundraising night of the year for BGCEV with funds helping to expand programs like science, technology, mathematics, robotics, and sports.

“We are extremely grateful for our donors, sponsors, community members and special guests who helped make the 42nd Annual Giving Great Futures one to remember. With evidence-based programs, enhanced relationships and improved facilities, we will provide an Ultimate Club Experience. BGCEV sincerely appreciates the support from people around the community, so to see everyone together making a difference for over 34,000 kids, was something special,” said Connie Perez.
