Beloved Business Says Goodbye in Flagstaff

Beloved Business Says Goodbye in Flagstaff
After fifty years in Flagstaff, Hunts Building Center is saying goodbye.
The hardware and lumber store has served the community’s home improvement needs for decades.
The business got it’s name from original owner Bruce Hunt, who sold the store to current owner Curtis Crane in 1987. Crane announced that he will close the doors and focus on his retirement and involvement in charity relief work.
The Crane family is well known in Flagstaff, not only for their friendly hardware store, but also their strong community involvement, with Hunt’s often sponsoring children’s sports teams and Northern Arizona University events and activities.
While the Cranes move on to help with humanitarian causes, they are putting their beloved store in the hands of The Barn Bros., an estate liquidation and resale store. With no hardware or lumber companies willing to commit to keeping the store running, the Barn Bros stepped in to purchase the building. This will help them expand their business, which has an existing location on Steves Boulevard.
Hunt’s officially closed May 31, and the Barn Bros. will be hosting liquidation sales this weekend on Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and next week, Monday June 26 through Wednesday June 28 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sale is while supplies last and everything must go!
If you’re interested in stopping by the sale, visit Hunt’s at 2711 E. Lakin Dr. in Flagstaff. For more information, please visit the Barn Bros. website.
