School may already be back in swing, but if your kids didn’t get a new backpack or pencil case, now is the time to get them one with style, while helping feed hungry kids around the world. E
Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), a Christian nonprofit that works with volunteers to pack meals to be sent to hungry kids in 70 countries, also hosts a MarketPlace full of back to school items such as backpacks, cross-body bags, pencil cases, lanyards and more. These items are purchased from artisans in the communities we serve, allowing them to make a living wage, and the proceeds help fund FMSC’s feeding program. You can shop locally at our site in Mesa at 1415 S. Alma School Road, or online at. Every purchase helps pay for meals and build sustainable communities.
Here are some items that will really stand out:
Pencil case from Nicaragua. This brightly woven roll up case costs $10 and will fund 22 FMSC meals.
The Rufus backpack is made in Liberia and is unlike any pack anyone else will have. It is $25 and will fund 56 FMSC meals.
