New Location Will House Behavioral Health Services
Arizona’s Children Association (AzCA) is excited to announce the opening of a new office in Maryvale as part of the organization’s expansion of its Behavioral Health (BH) Services. As one of the state’s oldest and largest child welfare and behavioral health nonprofit agencies, AzCA serves Arizona’s children by providing them with mental health resources to foster healing and growth. The office opened to the public in March.
The behavioral health programs at the new location are strength-based services that assist individuals and families in heightened social-emotional states and guide those who have been impacted by trauma and abuse through the healing process.
“The COVID-19 pandemic and quarantine shed light on how important mental health is for all of us,” said Jacob Schmitt, president and CEO of AzCA. “It illuminated how loss, isolation and grief can take a huge mental toll, and we wanted to provide additional resources to help Arizona’s families endure life’s challenging moments.”
The office, located at 4524 N. Maryvale Parkway, Suite 220, Phoenix, AZ 85031, can serve up to 1,400 people. Clients will have access to individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, sand tray and art therapy, psychiatric services, behavioral coaching, independent living skills coaching and family support.
“We are excited to bring on new members to our team and create a caring support system for Arizona’s children at the Maryvale location,” said Raquel Garcia, site administrator.
With a staff of 57, the office is still looking to add members to the team. Those interested in learning more about these job openings can visit ArizonasChildren.org/jobs.
