Arizonans will sport their best black and white cocktail wear or business attire to raise funds and show support for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona (BBBSAZ) BIG Night Out; Adventure Awaits Gala Event Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Held at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn Resort & Spa, 5402 E. Lincoln Dr., in Scottsdale, Ariz., the event will be an adventure-themed event celebrating the power of mentoring. Plus, the night will include a reveal of Big Brothers Big Sisters’ nationwide rebranding efforts launched in fall, 2018. The event serves to raise funds and awareness to support the need for more male mentors to come forward throughout Central Arizona.
Gala attendees will be enticed to purchase a Mystery Box for $100 where they will get a big surprise worth at least $100! Prizes include everything from a staycation at a local resort to a gift card for a fabulous dinner, a gift card for airline travel, tickets to a sporting event or a lovely piece of jewelry. All proceeds from Mystery Box sales support Big Brothers Big Sisters programs.
There will also be a live auction at the gala with all proceeds benefiting BBBSAZ.
For 60 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages six through 18. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
Oscar De las Salas, BBBSAZ committee chair, fashion producer, style critic, writer and creative director, and Camille French, BBBSAZ committee chair, Amerisource HR Consulting Founder & Principal Consultant, will host the event along with other Gala committee members. Paul Horton, CBS5 Chief Meteorologist will serve as the emcee for the event.
