72SOLD Adds Chief Strategy Officer Position to Corporate Team

72SOLD, considered the #1 real estate brand in Arizona, and recently recognized as the leading home selling program in America, is adding a new position to its corporate team. Edson Barrantes is now chief strategy officer at 72SOLD. Barrantes will take on this new role while keeping his current role as chief marketing officer.

Barrantes will be responsible for developing and executing the overall strategic plan for 72SOLD. He will work closely with senior management to identify opportunities, set goals, and develop plans for growth and expansion. Additional responsibilities include managing and prioritizing objectives, requests and communication of inter-departmental workflow. Barrantes will act as the primary delivery source for messaging between the department heads and the CEO.

“I’m thrilled for the opportunity to take on a larger role with this fast-growing company,” said Barrantes. “72SOLD has expanded into 81 major U.S. cities already this year and is among the fastest growing companies in America. We are helping thousands of homeowners across the country sell at 8%-12% higher average prices, something never before achieved in this industry.”

Barrantes is originally from California and, prior to working at 72SOLD, he was in the broadcast television industry. With more than 16 years of experience in media, Barrantes has worked with notable media groups such as Hearst, Sinclair, Nexstar and Tegna. He was in management for the last 10 years. Just before coming to 72SOLD, Barrantes was at the NBC affiliate station in Phoenix where he was the sales manager for five years for Tegna’s 12News. He also previously worked in Sacramento and the Fresno market. Barrantes has an extensive track record of developing teams and successfully achieving revenue goals. He has been married to his wife Jessica for almost 11 years and they have three kids together.

“I look forward to working with the rest of the leadership group within the company as we continue to expand our strategic vision,” said Barrantes. “I am excited for what we will accomplish working hand in hand with our CEO, Greg Hague, who is determined to reinvent the way homes are sold to make the process easier, faster, and more profitable for homeowners.”

Since its inception in 2018, 72SOLD has proven its overwhelming success in the Arizona market. In January, a partnership with the largest real estate franchise in the world, Keller Williams Realty, allowed 72SOLD to propel its national expansion.

“Edson is a gifted leader, organizer, and media expert who has been foundational to our growth and success over the past two years,” said Hague. “He is admired and respected by everyone at 72SOLD corporate and is the perfect individual to manage our explosive growth. He is also among the nicest, most caring people you could know. I am proud to call him a friend.”

The story of 72SOLD is tied closely to Hague, who is an attorney, real estate authority and TV spokesperson. Hague began marketing the concept and his success quickly grew. In 2022, with a three-year revenue growth of 2,065%, 72SOLD landed No. 260 on the Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in America. The announcement made 72SOLD the top 10 fastest growing real estate firms in the country, and #1 in Arizona.

72SOLD developed a program for selling a home in eight days or less (instead of the traditional weeks or months) for thousands more than selling the traditional way. Six independent studies over three years, encompassing more than 200,000 home sales, found that sellers who used the 72SOLD program achieved a median sale price averaging 8% to 12% higher prices than other homes sold in their local MLS. 72SOLD sellers don’t endure the inconvenience of showings week after week, and have greater control over their closing and move dates.
