Escape to our 30-acre 16th Century village where Maidens, Mermaids, Merriment and Mingling await thee. The Arizona Renaissance Festival is a medieval amusement park, a 14-stage theater, a 30-acre circus, an arts and crafts fair, a jousting tournament complete with knights on charging horses, clanging weapons and a great deal of braggadocio, and a feast — all rolled into one non-stop, all-day adventure!
It is an outdoor event that combines entertainment and wares reminiscent of what may have been found in a 16th Century European village market celebrating the arrival of the Queen to her shire. Walk through our gates to be transported back to a simpler more jovial time. Mingle with over 2,000 costumed characters, eat a giant roasted turkey leg; take part in games of chance and skill.
Explore the Village! Browse through 200 artisan shops displaying their wares; Watch as the ancient skills of glassblowing, leatherwork, weaving, woodcarving, blacksmithing, candle making and pottery are displayed…IT IS A SHOPPER’S PARADISE! There are 14 stages filled with comedy, swordplay, music and hijinks – You never know what you will find on or off the stage!
A most special event within this giant event is The Pleasure Feast. This is a one and a half hour, five course medieval feast with live music and comedy entertainment, all you can eat and drink, plus festival souvenir. With limited seating twice daily, advance feast reservations are recommended.
