Technology Support for Students of Noah Webster Schools

As Noah Webster Schools prepared for the 2020-2021 school year, the decision was made to begin the year with all students participating in Distance Learning.  In addition, they offered On-Site support for those students who did not have a caregiver at home.  In preparation for all the students to begin Distance Learning, the administration’s focus was to find a way to offer as much support to their families to ensure their students would be successful from this new learning environment.

Noah Webster knew most of their families would need assistance with technology.  The majority of the homes had multiple children of all ages and each needed their own access to devices in order to participate in Distance Learning.  Whether in elementary, middle or high school, technology is essential in allowing the students to complete their school day.

The educational team at Noah Webster immediately went to work re-imaging student computers and finding free internet support for their families in need.  In addition, they partnered with Microsoft Teams to create a safe and user-friendly environment for their students to work in.  Prior to providing tangible items to the families, the administration had the foresight to create a Technology Support team for both the Mesa and Scottsdale campuses.  Families having difficulty with logins, loaned laptops, access to Teams and other online curriculum, were provided with contact information allowing them to reach out to the support team by email, telephone or one-on-one onsite support.  In addition, a frequently asked questions page was incorporated into the Noah Webster website as a quick reference guide.

As foreseen, the first day of Distance Learning did not go without technical difficulties.  However, the amazing team that was in place were able to work quickly to resolve all issues, answer questions and offer support to the students as well as their learning coaches from home.

As of September 8th, Noah Webster has been able to once again open their campuses to allow families the choice of whether or not to send their children back to a traditional learning environment onsite or to continue to participate in Distance Learning for the remainder of the semester.  No matter the choice, Noah Webster Schools continues to offer free virtual support, including technology consultations to all enrollment families.

The end goal has always been clear to Noah Webster Schools.  Support their staff, students and families during these unprecedented times.
