On-demand, mobile laundry service wants to help a hard-working Arizona teacher this September with one less thing to worry about
PHOENIX – Adapting to a host of new and exhausting challenges during the pandemic has been hard for many Arizona students and educators alike. As days of distance learning turn into months, many teachers are wondering how to avoid burning out, especially without the face-to-face interactions with students that keep them passionate about the job.
WashClub Phoenix is stepping in to help by giving away free laundry service to one Valley teacher. Beginning September 9, the public is invited to nominate deserving teachers by submitting their contact information along with the name of the schools they teach at to WashClub Phoenix’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/washclubphx/). The month’s laundry service will cover up to 100 lbs. per household.
The winner will be selected on September 29 and announced via Facebook Live on WashClub Phoenix’s Facebook page.
“This has been a stressful time for many teachers and we want to show our appreciation,” said Nick Rawlins, Chief Operations Officer at WashClub Phoenix. “We can’t take over a classroom but we can bring some relief when it comes to the laundry room.”
