Another month of quarantine. Another four weeks of social distancing. Local restaurant, VooDoo Daddy’s Steam Kitchen, recognizes the need for all of us to be safe. The Tempe based restaurant is open for takeout and offering its patrons something a little extra special this Friday and Saturday night (April 3 and 4) to help stave off the boredom. From 5:30 to 8 p.m., those who order takeout will also be able to hear live music from Cheryl Thurston of Cheryl’s Mardi Gras Jazz Band as she performs on the patio by herself. Guests are encouraged to pick up their order, take them to their cars and listen to the music as they finish their meals or before they drive away. Guests are asked not to get out of their vehicles and to expect social distancing guidelines.
Along with its regular dishes and family sized meals, Voodoo Daddy’s Steam Kitchen has decided to provide the community with $3.00 kids meals during this difficult time. Orders can be placed online, via their app or by calling in. You can also order through DoorDash, UberEats, GrubHub and PostMates for delivery. Locally owned and operated, VooDoo Daddy’s Steam Kitchen is a Cajun, creole and Caribbean restaurant in Tempe. The menu includes dishes such as jambalaya, gumbo, red beans and rice and po’boys. Custom blended ice teas, porch wines, hurricanes to go and craft beers are also available. Located at 1325 W. Elliot Rd., Suite 106, in Tempe, visit voodoodaddy.com or like the restaurant on Facebook and Instagram at @VooDooDaddysKitchen for more information.
