(PHOENIX – March 5, 2020) – Phoenix-based nonprofit, Esperança, has established the Arizona Global Development Network (AGDN) as a source for Arizona-based nonprofits working internationally in development and humanitarian aid to collectively offer support, inspiration and resources.

“As we began to recognize the growing number of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) engaged in humanitarian work in the Phoenix area, we decided that it was time for INGOs throughout Arizona to be seen,” said Anna Ortiz, international program director. “Through collaboration and representation, together we can build the next up-and-coming industry in Arizona.”

The benefits for members include access to expert speakers at each meeting covering various topics, continuing knowledge on best practices, professional development for staff, opportunities for collaboration and a space for exposure of upcoming events and programs.

There is no monetary commitment to join AGDN and meetings are held once every quarter.

AGDN recognizes the strength in diversity of members and encourages participation from a variety of organizations. International organizations based in Arizona interested in joining AGDN or for more information, please visit or email Anna Ortiz at [email protected].
